One of the goals for The Edge of Work is to study the landscape to understand what leading edge thinkers and leaders are doing to create better workplaces for their talent. This year, we are planning on conducting primary research and interviews with talent and learning leaders, founders of companies, and researchers to better understand examples of leading edge practices. The goal of this research is to find leading edge practices and to share them more broadly to the wider public to encourage more creative thinking about designing work and workplaces. Below are a list of four topics that we’re going to focus on for this year.

  • Career Development – How companies are building career development strategies and programs to improve retention and engagement
  • Leadership Development – Priorities and focus areas for your leadership development programs
  • New Ways of Working/Culture – How you are experimenting with remote and distributed work and scaling & improving culture
  • Manager Effectiveness – How you are thinking about defining and training managers, as well as the managers role in career development

Action: If you currently work inside of a company (ex: talent or leadership development professional, HR/People Professional, business leader) and are doing something interesting related to any of these topics, we’d love to speak to you and hear more about what you are working on. All interviews are confidential, and we’re happy to share our findings as well as connect you to other thinkers in this space. If this is an interest, feel free to get on contact with someone on our team and we’ll follow up.

Thanks!
